The Center for Hermeneutics, Phenomenology, and Practical Philosophy (CHPPP) is a research association founded in 2009 and affiliated to the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi, Romania.

The Center promotes academic excellence through research particularly in the fields of hermeneutics, phenomenology, and practical philosophy, but is also open to metaphysics, ontology, history of philosophy, philosophy and sociology of religion, aesthetics, legal philosophy, political science, and communication science.

The main activities of the Center include editing the international journal META. Research in Hermeneutics, Phenomenology and Practical Philosophy (ISSN: 2067-3655) and organizing scientific events. Since 2009 we have had the pleasure of organizing more than a dozen annual colloquia and numerous monthly events in Philosophy.
